DESCRIPTION
Using a system of colored lights and optional chime tones,
panels are strategically placed in the facility to allow for signaling or
prompting staff. Pushbutton panels are available with one to 60 lighted
pushbuttons and lamp panels are available with 10 to 60 lamps. The lighted
pushbutton panels, lamp panels and chimes are wired to a programmable
controller, and through customized programming, each lighted pushbutton,
indicator lamp and chime can be programmed for specific functions. This
customized programming is the key to providing a powerful tool to help organize
a facility. Heritage personnel will discuss your specific application and aid in
designing a system that will be simple to use yet provide a valuable asset in
streamlining your facility. Installation of the system is simple and
straightforward and is typically accomplished by a low-voltage contractor such
as a telephone installer. While we discuss your custom design we can suggest
qualified installers in your area to install your system.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Memory: Keeps
patient/clients in a sequential order or queue - first in - first seen.
Priority: Move a
patient/client to the top of the memory queue.
Emergency: Similar to
priority, but is put first in queue ahead of priority.
Call: Provides programmable
light sequence, on-slow-fast-off, or any combination.
Momentary Call: Provides
calls from latching devices, such as emergency switches, door switches, etc..
Timers: Provides up to 4
different timers selected by a single pushbutton. Different buttons can offer
different timers.
Reset: Resets a button or
range of buttons.
Chime: Allows an audible
chime to sound. Functions can be separately signaled by the length and number of
tones.
Merge: Allows multiple
memory groups to be merged into one group.
Up/Down: Two circuits can be
used as up and down counters. Often used as chart indicators to show a backlog
of patients.
These functions, and others, can provide a system to help
control the patient/client flow in a facility, alert or call personnel, provide
a visual intercom function, provide patient/client arrival or waiting
indications, call for and time procedures, and provide a staff registry to know
who is in the building. Any other functions that can be accomplished with lights
and tones can be accomplished with this system limited only by your needs or
imagination.
The system is extremely easy to use. At a glance you can
tell exactly what the current situation is, how many people are waiting, where
the staff is, what rooms are occupied, who requires assistance, who is next to
be seen, what procedures are required etc. There is no central computer monitor,
no special skill, no single position that needs to be manned.
