The Model HM-532 Power Supply Unit will convert 115 VAC to 12 Volts DC for most Sentry devices.  The Model HM-532 will typically power up to 6 host Panels, each with one smoke detector.

When possible, the power supply should be connected to the facilities emergency power to allow system operation for extended periods of commercial power outages.

The Model HM-532 power Supply is intended for remote, separate residences or residence groups. 

This method of supplying DC voltage is an alternative to the automatic operation of a supervised Model HM-535 Power Supply Unit.  The HM-532 does not have battery back up capabilities.

The HM-532 is rated at 0.5 Amp.  See the Sentry Wiring Guide for calculating current requirements and to determine typical loads.

The power supply includes a built in plug and simply mounts to the AC receptacle by inserting the plug.  Always make certain the HM-532 cannot fall out.

The Model HM-532 Power Supply dimensions are: 2.40”H x 2.4”W x 1.9”D.  A 6-foot wire is attached.  Check polarity with a meter before making connections to equipment.
