DESCRIPTION:

The Sentry Model HM-533 Backup Power Source will maintain 120VAC to the Sentry Master Console and associated equipment in the event of a power outage or brown-out. Solid-state circuitry and long-life rechargeable batteries are integrated to provide fast, automatic transfer when line power goes down and is restored.

The typical console will operate on backup for up to an 15 minutes without line power. The master console via the backup power source should be connected to the facilities' emergency power supply for the secondary source of power. This method will allow total system operation for extended periods of commercial power outages.

Front panel pilot lights will indicate line power, batteries charging, and back-up modes. An audio trouble alarm signal will sound to notify operator of lost line power. A built in filtering network will stop interference from most line-transmitted noise. Surge suppression will protect system from common destructive voltage transients.

During backup operation some ventilation is required to prevent heat buildup. Do not install or operate in a small-enclosed compartment.

The regulated output provides the proper voltage and frequency for proper system operation. When line power is on, the batteries are recharged automatically.

A Back-up Power Source with a higher wattage rating or extended back-up time is available. Consult factory for information.
