OVERVIEW:
The HM-558 provides
reverse polarity protection when using wireless receivers that are
powered by the HM-560B smoke detectors. The HM-560B “type B” smoke
detectors utilize reverse polarity on the power leads to sound all
the smoke horns in the apartment when any one device senses smoke.
Since the wireless receiver uses this power for operation the
polarity guard ensures that the proper polarity power is supplied to
the receiver at all times.
INSTALLATION:
Red/Black tracer wire
connected to 12 volts DC from HM-560B smoke detector. Red wire
connected to HM-547 wireless receiver 12 Volts positive ( red).
Black connected to HM-547 wireless receiver 12 V negative (black).
