DESCRIPTION:
The
Model HM-560 smoke detector is a low voltage, photoelectric unit
designed for both single and multiple station use. The detector
connects directly to the Sentry HM-527 Rev F host panel. Its sensor
operates on the scattered light principle, and electronically
compensates for ambient light conditions. The detector has its own
85dB temporal pattern horn and power-on LED. Tamper resistant cover
requires screwdriver to open hinged lid.
FEATURES:
Photoelectric sensor is designed to sample the air every 3 seconds and
trigger an alarm if prescribed levels of smoke appear.
Self-diagnostics continually monitor its own sensitivity and
operational status. Powered directly from the host panel, it will
operate from system batteries when power goes out. Insect resistant
screen minimizes nuisance alarms. Up to 4 additional detectors can be
interconnected. The detectors alarm horn can be remotely activated by
the host panel with the fire alarm interface option on the Master
Console.
MOUNTING & WIRING:
The
HM-560B smoke detector can mount to a standard single-gang electrical
box, four-inch octagon or four-inch square electrical box, WIREMOLD
No. 5739 fixture box. The detector may also be flush mounted to walls
or ceilings where local codes and or jurisdictions permit. Wire using
Sentry recommended West Penn wire WPW 253 4 pair wire and attach to
included plug-in terminal block.
