| DESCRIPTION:
The Model HM-566 Smoke Detector Horn
Control Resistor is designed to allow the Host Panel to turn on the
smoke horns in the Sentry Model 560 Smoke Detector. The 566 is wired
in series between the smoke horn output of the Host Panel and the
signal input of the smoke detector.
One lead of the Model HM-566 is wired
to the Brown wire of the HM-582 Host Panel connector, and the other
is wired to the "Signal" terminal of the Model HM-560
Smoke Detector.
This resistor is only required when
the system is configured to turn on the horns in apartments as
auxiliary annunciation for the general fire panel.
The Model HM-566 is covered with
insulation tubing to eliminate electrical shorts to other wiring or
devices.
The Model HM-566 is a prewired 10000
ohm resistor attached to brown wire leads, stripped & tinned.
The wires are 1.5" long to facilitate ease of installation.
