DESCRIPTION
The
Sentry Model HM-647 Base Station 2-Way Radio is a desktop radio for transmitting
and receiving voice communications. The
base station radio is intended for remote voice annunciation of the Sentry
System as well as personnel communications. The Model HM-647 radio is typically
combined with the Model HM-644 Voice Synthesizer, and the Model
HM-645 Portable 2-Way
Radios.
The
radio includes a magnetic mount antenna, power supply, and desktop microphone.
The
radios controls include automatic squelch control, on/off switch, volume
control, and channel selector. Indicators
are included for transmit, and channel number.
The
power supply can be located remotely to save desk space.
A 115V receptacle is required for power and is usually supplied through
the Standby power Source used for the Master Controller.
The
installation of this radio requires an operation license by the FCC.
The actual frequency that the radio will use is determined by the
location of the property. An
application must be sent to NABAR to obtain the proper frequency before the
radio can be shipped. Once the
frequency has been determined, an operator’s license must be applied for.
This license can only be applied for by the owners or management of that
specific property. The NABAR
application and the FCC license fee
are not included in the radio pricing. These
fees are the responsibility of the property owners or management.
