DESCRIPTION:

The Model HM-676 Remote Display Station provides remote display functions to a Sentry system. The LCD display screen will describe emergency messages with alpha-numeric text. The screen displays up to three lines of text and the SILENCE prompt. The Sentry Console can individually address each Remote Display Station and can therefore direct alarm messages from certain floors or areas to specific displays.

INDICATORS:

An audio beeper and LED will announce any event when displayed on the LCD screen. The event wording is programmed by entries in the Sentry configuration table. A silence button will silence the beeper and the clear the indicator LED. The LCD display is backlit for viewing in low light conditions when the screen is active. A built-in timer will automatically shut off the back light after 4 minutes of non-use. The audible beeper is provided with a jumper for High/Med/Low/Off volume control.

CONNECTIONS:

A 4-conductor removable color-coded pig-tail plug is furnished with each display for wiring using 2-pair cable, one pair for DC power from the Sentry Power Supply, and one pair for data from the Sentry Master Console. This data line is dedicated to LCD Displays only and may not be connected to Host or Utility Panels. A terminal block is provided for extending remote annunciation from the display. This output is rated 9-14 VDC at 100 mA and follows the function of the displays audio beeper.

CIRCUITRY:

Microcomputer controlled solid-state circuitry provides all communication and display functions. Data is transferred between the Master Controller and HM-676 Remote Displays utilizing a dedicated data line. Up to 16 stations can be connected to this data line. A dipswitch selects a unique address for each display station.

HOUSING:

An off-white ABS plastic panel houses the display, circuitry and silence button. The panel mounts to a 4 gang electrical box with four screws, (included). The HM-676 can be installed in a surface mount enclosure if necessary.

DIMENSIONS:

Display Station, (standard configuration): 4.6" High x 8.5" Wide x 1.5" Thick.
