Description

Wall mount card cage for the Heritage MedCall "Clinicomm" processor controlled system. Holds up to 7 cards, 1 - MPU-8 and 6 - I/O-16 cards, or 7 - I/O-16 cards in multiple card cage systems. Provides up to 104 ports in a single card cage system, or up to 112 ports when used in a multiple card cage system. Minimum system requirements are: 1 - HM-CC Card cage, 1 - MPU-8 processor card, 1 - HM-5V-10A power supply, 1 - HM-24V-2.5A power supply and necessary interconnection cables as required.

Connections

Contains 7 back-plane connectors for circuit cards and power connections for 5 Volt and 24 Volt power supplies (not included). Also has an external DB-25 connector for daisy-chaining multiple card cages together to increase system capacity up to 912 ports.

Enclosure

Rugged sheet metal enclosure with nylon card guides. A sheet metal cover holds all cards securely in place and prevents contaminants from entering the enclosure.

Installation

Mount to a wall or back-board with the mounting brackets provided. Connectors are provided for 5 Volt and 24 Volt power supplies. Cards are properly addressed and fully seated into the appropriate slots in the card cage as noted by the silkscreen on the enclosure top. In multiple card cage systems, other card cages are interconnected using the DB-25 connector on the end of the enclosure.

Housing and Finish

Punched steel housing with protective steel cover. Entire enclosure is baked epoxy finish in off white with black silkscreen designators.

Dimensions

14 1/8" (35.88cm) wide x 7 5/8" (19.37cm) high x 7 3/8" (18.73cm) deep.
